The Corporate Director and Director of People & Talent at Synersight has been unanimously elected to lead the Valladolid Metallurgical Business Association for the next four years.

On the morning of Friday, February 14, Catalina Aguado Calvo, Corporate Director and Director of People & Talent at Synersight, was unanimously elected as the new President of Vametal for the next four years. A Law graduate from the University of Valladolid, Aguado has an extensive career spanning over 25 years in Organizational Development and People Management at Synersight.
Since June 2023, Catalina has been a member of Vametal’s Governing Board, advocating for the commitment of its members and fostering a strong teamwork culture. “I take on the presidency of this association with a clear vision: the real protagonists of Vametal are its members. Only by actively listening to their needs, concerns, and aspirations can we work towards proposing initiatives that add value and benefit their organizations.“
She also highlights the importance of internal communication and transparency in member relations: “Transparency, closeness, and consistency must guide our communication with companies, institutions, public administrations, entities, trade unions, suppliers, strategic partners, and, ultimately, society as a whole.“
“Communication should be the tool that strengthens our companies’ commitment, empowers the sense of belonging to the Association, and positions it externally as a strong and influential voice—because the metallurgical sector in Valladolid is significant and has much to say.”
The Power of Unity as the Key to Progress: “Only through the strength generated by unity can we move forward, aligning interests and fostering collaboration within our province’s invaluable business ecosystem and the stakeholders we work with every day,” she adds.
“Our mission is to strengthen our province’s sector in uncertain, volatile, and legally unstable times,” Catalina Aguado states. “With consistency, critical thinking, and an attitude of understanding, we will defend our demands without losing sight of what drives us: the needs and concerns of our companies,” she emphasizes. Additionally, she stresses that “reinforcing collective bargaining as a tool to ensure flexibility for our companies has become a top priority.“
